Our History
Innovative Solutions Unlimited, LLC (inSolves) was established in 1996 in Minford, Ohio, by Francis Barbarits. Since then, insolves has expanded to a company that employs more than 200 security escorts, engineers, managers and other professional personnel in 3 office locations across Ohio, Kentucky and South Carolina.
InSolves has worked with major government contractors such as Fluor BWXT-Portsmouth, USEC, American Centrifuge-Centrus Energy Corp., Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, Idaho National Lab, Swift and Staley, and Savannah River Nuclear Site-to name a few.
In 2016, Insolves received the DOE HubZone small business of the year award. The company originally concentrated on staff augmentation work, design engineering and then took a leap to expand the specialty manufacturing by purchasing a 20,000 square foot facility in Piketon, OH fully equipped with CNC & traditional machining, fabrication & welding technology. InSolves has also added multiple commercial grade quality certifications for the nuclear field (NQA-1, ISO-9000 and UL certifications). With this new additional space, InSolves added commodity services, which provides Value-Added technical purchasing.
InSolves was also recently recognized for its successful graduation from the Fluor-BWXT Portsmouth Mentor-Protégé Program operated under the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) within the Department of Energy in Washington, DC
In 2021, CEO, Jennifer Barbarits-Phillips partnered with her father and InSolves became a certified U.S Small Business Administration (SBA) Woman Owned Small Business.
